Texas barbeque is deemed by many as a cuisine of its own being so unique and distinctive to the state. Many like it authentic, so Texas-style barbeque restaurants may have been seeing some resistance in certain locales. But for Bludso’s, things are entirely different. This well-loved joint is considered as one of the few places to serve legitimate Texas barbeque outside the Lone Star state and it gets still get so much love for it.
Originally established in Compton, California by Kevin Bludso, Bludso’s continue the Texan family’s tradition of smoking meats. Although the owner was born and raised in CA, he has spent numerous summers under the tutelage of his grandma in Corsicana, TX in her very own barbeque restaurant, this allowed him to gain enough knowledge and experience to offer some of the finest smoked meats in LA today.

The Bludso’s Bar & Que in Hollywood is more of a gastropub that mixes southern barbeque delicacies with a happening drinks menu. This allows the place to marry a fuss-free cuisine with the polarizing dining atmosphere of LA, making it worth a shot if you want to try an all new dining experience with something classic.
