Organic, Small Batch Dried Pastas Made in Los Angeles

Pasta is a dime in a dozen, and only a few are really good. Semolina Artisanal offers organic, small batch dried organic pasta. And yes, it’s made in the United States, in LA in fact but it’s just as good as those made in Italy.

Created by Leah Ferrazzani, these dried pastas are made using the finest Durum wheat Semolina and water found in the US. The preparation process is the same as that used by the finest Italian pasta makers in the world.

Semolina Artisanal Pasta is extruded via bronze dies, giving the pasta a rough texture for better sauce retention. The pasta is slowly dried at a temperature of a 100 degrees. In comparison, commercial pasta is prepared at 180-200 degrees. The difference of a few degrees is huge in terms of the end result.

The unique preparation of Semolina Artisanal Pasta gives it a wheat flavor, and its chewy texture is retained when cooked. This cooking process also preserves the pasta nutritional value. Three pasta cuts are currently available, spaghetti, conchiglie and rigatoni. All of them are prepared according to the highest standards to ensure quality.

Leah started Semolina Artisanal Pasta in her kitchen in 2014, and it didn’t take long for word to spread about how good the pasta was. What makes the pasta stand out from the rest is its high quality and the consistency of the results. This is possible because Semolina Artisanal Pasta uses the same approach for all their pasta.

For the longest time the belief has been that the only good pasta is Italian pasta. With Semolina Artisanal Pasta you’ll get a taste of delicious spaghetti without having to go to Italy. The distinct procedure used to make the pasta means it is easier to cook, lasts longer and just tastes better.
