LAStartups.com to Acquire dot.LA
We have been receiving a lot of questions asking if we will take over dot.LA. The answer is ‘No.’
We will not be acquiring dot.LA, but we are increasing our editorial staff to support the tech and startup community in Los Angeles. Our main goal remains supporting the city’s most talented and innovative individuals, and we are excited to expand our presence in the LA tech industry.
We are self-funded, which means that we do not rely on any investors and are accountable only to ourselves. Our content is impartial and precise, making us a trustworthy resource for individuals seeking information about Los Angeles startups.
One difference between LAStartups.com and dot.LA is that our publication is fully employee-owned, while dot.LA has nearly 40 angel investors and many other investors. We are focused on becoming the most comprehensive resource for LA startups and ensuring that we do not repeat any mistakes. We love investors, but not 40+ of them!
Entrepreneurship, whether in media or tech, is a marathon and not a sprint – a common saying but true. Our approach is to steadily build something that will last for the long term.

We are committed to helping entrepreneurs in Los Angeles get their businesses off the ground and providing them with the resources they need to make their ventures successful. We want to play a role in ensuring that our community continues to grow and thrive. So join us as we continue our mission of helping LA Startups succeed!
Let’s go LA!
LAStartups.com is a digital lifestyle publication that covers the culture of startups and technology companies in Los Angeles. It is the go-to site for people who want to keep up with what matters in Los Angeles’ tech and startups from those who know the city best.
