Today, we have relaunched LAStartups.com with a new look and feel. We’ve also added some great new features, like News Shorts and an events calendar. And we’re not done yet! We have big plans for LAStartups.com, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

Why The Relaunch, Now?

LAStartups.com is the leading website for startups in Los Angeles. We’ve been covering the LA startup culture since 2009, and we’re proud to be the go-to source for news, information, and resources for startups in Los Angeles.

We are not funded by investors or venture capitalists. We are a team of passionate entrepreneurs, writers, and photographers who believe in the LA startup community. We want to help LA startups succeed.

Not being funded by investors is a great thing. It enables us to be true to our voice, and it allows us to write stories that are not biased by outside agendas. We can cover LA startups objectively, without fear or favor.

We won’t name any specific websites that are funded by venture capitalists, but WE ALL KNOW who they are. And we all know that their coverage of the LA startup scene is often inaccurate because it’s biased by their investors’ interests.

We don’t have that problem. Our only agenda is to help LA startups succeed – whether they are funded or not, and whether they are tech startups or bakery startups. We want to see more LA startups created, and we want to see existing LA startups grow and scale. That’s it.

The LA startup scene is booming. In the past year, we’ve seen an influx of new startups, and an explosion of growth in existing startups. We’re excited about the future of LA startups, and we want to do our part to help them succeed.
