HopSkipDrive Launches a Ride-Hailing Taxi Service to Kids

Once upon a time, there were 3 moms who moaned about the challenges of driving their kids around town safely. But they didn’t just moan about it. Instead, they launched HopSkipDrive as a service to all moms (and dads) who are struggling to deal with busy schedules driving their kids everywhere in town.

Now you have a ride service for kids that can help deal with your burden of shuttling your kids to their after-school activities. Unlike services such as Uber which doesn’t take in unaccompanied children, HopSkipDrive is specifically designed for children ages 7 and up.

Since we are dealing with your children, obviously safety will be the most important consideration. HopSkipDrive has anticipated your concerns and covers them all admirably.

They have a stringent vetting procedure regarding their drivers, whom they all fingerprint for security reasons. They all undergo full background checks and they must have at least 5 years of childcare experience. You’ll know who they are as they wear bright orange T-shirts to go along with their ID. They have the designated flags on their cars. They also have to know the child’s secret code when they introduce themselves.

As the parent, you can download the app that tracks your child’s ride in real time, so you always know where they are on the road. The people at HopSkipDrive monitor the ride as well on their computer screens.

Finally, there is an Uber for kids that can help alleviate the shuttling responsibility for parents who are already overburdened as it is. You can schedule a ride and you’ll get the driver’s profile, with pictures and pertinent information. Rides are available 7 days a week, and for many busy working moms and dads, this service is a godsend.
