Colgate to Launch CBD Toothpaste and Mouthwash Products
Oral hygiene titan Colgate Palmolive joins the group of major U.S.-based companies entering the hemp and CBD industry. One of its brands they recently acquired, Hello Products, will launch a line of toothpaste, mouthwashes, and lip balms that contain cannabidiol (CBD).
Hello Products, a New Jersey-based oral care brand, launched its CBD line last month, with seven products to its name. On the other hand, Colgate announced last January that they’re going to acquire the brand due to its nature-friendliness. The company cites this brand’s strong appeal among younger people across different segments.
Hello Products has more than 44,000 U.S. retail locations that distribute their products. It’s founded in 2012 by Craig Dubitsky. Their CBD line has two lip balms, two types of mouthwash, and three kinds of toothpaste.

All these products contain broad-spectrum hemp oil as well as hemp extract. It comes from U.S.-based hemp farms. It became available at 1,190 Ulta Beauty stores starting February 1, as stated by the company.
CBD is one of the most famous cannabinoids contained by the cannabis plant. It’s one of many, but it doesn’t make you high when consuming it. It’s a stark contrast with its well-known counterpart, THC.
Regardless, experts found that CBD has a lot of potential health benefits. It’s possible since it interacts with the endocannabinoid system. Most people agree that CBD has the potential to become an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant, as well as anxiety and stress reducer.
Lots of major health and beauty companies made their move to enter the CBD industry. For example, L’Oreal and Estee Lauder acquired smaller CBD companies to capitalize on the growing business. Right now, it’s unclear whether Colgate plans to distribute Hello Products across the globe.
But this move is a major advancement for CBD into the oral hygiene industry. Will CBD toothpaste become the next big innovation? It could take a while for us to find out.
