4 High-Intensity Home Workout Apps To Get You Back In Shape Fast

Who says you need to get a gym membership to get in shape? The best thing about workout apps is that you can use them anytime, anywhere. And, with the pandemic, many gyms remain closed – these home workout apps are a great way to get you moving.

Below are a few of our favorite workout apps that require minimal equipment, give you actual results, won’t blow the bank.

Best HIIT Workout Apps

1. Keelo – Strength High-Intensity HIIT Workout

Have you heard of HIIT (high-intensity interval training) and want to try it out without getting a costly personal trainer? Try out this app instead. It costs $12 a month, but 0nly $30 for 3 months and $90 for the whole year. There’s a free trial period too.

Basically, this will guide you as you do your HIIT workouts. These only take 20 minutes or less per session and you don’t need any fancy equipment. You can customize the exercises for your current location, whether you’re in your apartment or at a hotel, or even when you’re in an actual gym. You get videos as well as text directions to show you what you need to do.

With these workouts, you can boost the intensity when you improve. The app tracks your progress and suggests new exercises so you don’t stagnate or get bored.

2. CARROT Fit – Weight Loss App That Works

This doesn’t cost much with a one-time payment of $4. It comes with a completely irreverent AI that will tell you what to do, and it will do everything to motivate you. This includes inspiring, ridiculing, threatening, or even bribing you.

You don’t need a lot of space for your workouts, and you don’t need fancy gym equipment too. You just need to take the abuse, and you better get used to your new name, meat bag

This is for the iOS only, though an Android version may be coming soon.

3. C25K – Couch Potato to Running 5K

If your budget is limited, then you may want to go with this absolutely free app. This app guides you through an 8-week running program. You run about 3 times a week, with the runs in different lengths.

Activate the app when you start, you can pick the music (or podcast), and then the app (using a nice woman’s voice) tells you when to run and walk. At first, you spend half an hour with a brisk walk, and then you have a 90-second jogging session before you resume your walk.

Each week lengthens your running time, so by week 8, you’re running 3 miles in half an hour. The great thing about this app is that this gradual approach actually works.
