Best Buy Offers New MacBook Upgrade Program
Best Buy is shaking up the way it sells MacBooks, with a new “Upgrade Plus” program that lets you finance a machine over 36 months and then upgrade to the latest model after two years. The program is available to customers with approved credit and starts at $19.99 per month for the cheapest MacBook Air model.
If you want to upgrade to a newer machine before your three-year term is up, Best Buy will foot the remaining balance – but you’ll have to sign up for another three years.
The Upgrade Plus page on Best Buy’s website offers the 16-inch M1 MacBook Pro for $2,499, or about $51.17 per month with a final payment of $550. The M2 MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and 14-inch MacBook Pro are also available through the program.
The Upgrade Plus program is a great way to get your hands on the latest and greatest MacBook, without having to pay the full price upfront. And if you’re someone who likes to upgrade their devices frequently, it could save you a lot of money in the long run.
However, it’s important to note that you are essentially locked into a three-year payment plan with Best Buy, so make sure you’re comfortable with that before signing up.
